It is with profound sadness and grief that we announce the tragic line of duty death of Firefighter Benjamin Polson, of the St. Louis, MO Fire Department and member of IAFF Local 73.
Firefighter Polson died while courageously fighting a house fire in the 5900 block of Cote Brilliante earlier today.
Arrangements will be forthcoming.

The IAFF Local 244 Executive Board is accepting letters of interest for the position of City Chapter Chief Steward and City 1st Steward for the next 14 calendar days. The Executive Board will appoint a member to serve in each position at the Executive Board meeting on February 3, 2022, until the next General Election in December 2022; in accordance with the IAFF Local 244 Constitution & Bylaws, Article VI, Section 5. Trailside Apartments Room and Content Fire 12/22/21 - South Metro Firefighters IAFF LOCAL 2086
December 21, 2021, 2:45 a.m. - Local members responded to a fire alarm at the Trailside Apartments near S. Twenty Mile Road and Mainstreet in Parker, CO. Parker Police arrived on the scene and stated that black smoke was coming from one of the residences. First arriving units searched the unit and found smoke. The complex's fire sprinklers successfully extinguished the fire.
